This dynamic circuit combines the thrill of off-road driving with the discovery of unique archaeological and natural treasures in the Andes. Tailored for active travelers, it allows you to explore the dirt trails of the Sacred Valley aboard modern ATVs (quad bikes), offering a completely different and exhilarating perspective of the rural landscapes, snow-capped peaks, and living legacies of the Inca culture.
ITINERARY
Departure from Cusco and Transfer to the Base: The tour begins with a pickup from your location in a tourist vehicle to travel outside Cusco toward the Sacred Valley. We will head to our operations base located in Maras.
ATV Practice and Safety Briefing: Upon arrival at the base, our specialized guide will provide a comprehensive safety briefing and a detailed demonstration on how to operate the quad bikes safely. Each passenger will have practice time to get comfortable with the vehicle before hitting the main trail.
Exploration of the Moray Archaeological Complex: Once fully prepared, we will start the off-road ride toward the Inca agricultural laboratory of Moray. We will take a guided walk to admire its stunning concentric circular terraces and learn how the Incas successfully replicated different microclimates in a single location.
Scenic Ride to the Maras Salt Mines: We continue our quad bike journey along trails surrounded by nature. During this overland route, you will contemplate breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-capped Verónica and Chicón mountains guarding the valley. We will arrive at the world-famous Maras Salt Mines to observe the thousands of artisanal evaporation ponds that have been active since pre-Hispanic times.
Riding to the Huaypo Lagoon: We board our vehicles again to head toward the beautiful Huaypo Lagoon. We will enjoy the peacefulness of this Andean lake, its clear waters, and surrounding farmlands, completing an experience packed with adrenaline and beautiful scenery.
Return to the Imperial City: After wrapping up our ATV loop, we will return to the base to board our tourist transport back to downtown Cusco.
