ITINERARY
Hotel Pickup in Cusco: The service begins with picking up passengers from their respective hotels in Cusco to board a modern long-distance tourist bus and start the journey heading towards the city of Puno.
Visit to the Andahuaylillas Church: Our first technical stop will be at the iconic San Pedro Apóstol church in Andahuaylillas, widely known as the "Sistine Chapel of the Americas" due to the vast amount and exquisite quality of murals, gold-leaf altars, and paintings from the Cusqueña art school decorating its walls.
Exploration of the Raqchi Archaeological Complex: Continuing the trip, we will head to the Raqchi Archaeological Complex, taking a guided tour around its emblematic pre-Hispanic structures and storehouses (colcas), highlighting the colossal Temple of the God Wiracocha.
Lunch on the Route: Next, we will enjoy our delicious included lunch at a selected countryside restaurant along the way, a great opportunity to savor local Andean cuisine and recharge.
Passage through La Raya: Continuing the route, we will cross La Raya, the highest geographical point of the trip, which offers spectacular views of the famous snow-capped Chimboya mountain and the headwaters of the Vilcanota River.
Visit to the Pukara Lithic Museum: Our last technical stop will be in the town of Pucará to explore its lithic museum, where we will find valuable ceramics, monoliths, and sculptures belonging to this important pre-Inca culture.
Arrival in the City of Puno: Finally, we arrive at the tourist terminal in the city of Puno, concluding this fascinating journey along the Sun's Route.
