Pachacamac was considered a religious center by several pre-Inca cultures, including the Lima, Wari and Inca. In addition, it is believed that it housed the famous oracle of Pachacamac, where priests interpreted the words of the god based on the movements of sacrificed animals. This oracle supposedly had the reputation of being one of the most important and venerated oracles of pre-Columbian times.
