Qeswachaca<\/strong> is the last Inca suspension bridge in the world, built entirely with ichu fiber by Quechua communities for more than 600 years<\/strong>. Declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity<\/em> by UNESCO<\/strong>, this unique destination will allow you to discover a living tradition that defies the passage of time, on the banks of the imposing Apur\u00edmac river canyon.<\/p>

A place where history is not in a museum \u2014 it is alive, hand-woven every year by Quechua communities that have kept this tradition alive for centuries. Witnessing the Qeswachaca<\/strong> bridge means being part of one of the most extraordinary cultural expressions the Andean world has to offer \u2014 an act of identity, collective memory and connection with Inca ancestors that will leave you deeply moved.<\/p>

Beyond the bridge, the journey takes you through the majestic Altiplano plateau, high Andean lakes, traditional communities and landscapes that very few travelers ever have the privilege of seeing. ITINERARY: <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>

  • Transport will pick you up between 7:00am and 7:30am<\/strong> from the center of Cusco.<\/li>
  • We travel approximately 3 hours<\/strong> to the district of Quehue<\/strong> (Canas province), crossing the Altiplano plateau with puna landscapes, lakes and high Andean communities. Along the way we make a stop at Checacupe<\/strong>, which has a beautiful colonial church and an Inca stone bridge.<\/li>
  • We arrive at Qeswachaca bridge (3,700 m.a.s.l.)<\/strong>, where the guide will explain its history and construction technique. We will have time to cross the bridge, photograph the Apur\u00edmac river canyon and meet the local communities that keep this tradition alive.<\/li>
  • Buffet lunch<\/strong> in the area with typical dishes from the region.<\/li>
  • Return to Cusco. Arrival near the Plaza de Armas (approx. 18:00)<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
